As part of the massive haul I got last week
Click here if you missed it I picked up a bottle of O.P.I. Oh So Glam. Its a really pretty creamy white that has the perfect amount of shimmer. The best part is this shade was on sale so I only paid $2 for it! Its more subdued than what i usually wear but I was on my way to church so it seamed appropriate. The color looked beautiful on my nails and after a while of staring at it I decided it looked like vanilla frosting. Thoughts of creamy vanilla icing lead to thoughts of cupcakes in my mind.

Once i started thinking of cupcakes I just had to make them. So Joe and I got the bright idea to bake some beautiful cupcakes to photograph with my manicure. This was definitely easier said than done for us. First off neither of us are Betty Crocker so after about 2 hours of struggles we finally had 18 acceptable cupcakes. Then came the picture taking.

Its not that easy to hold a cupcake and show your nails to the camera, also i just have awkward hands so the pictures aren't exactly what I had in mind. Plus there has never been worse lighting than there is in our kitchen and dining room. Still we got a couple nice pics and one very delicious looking picture of the cupcakes....
Even though everything didn't turn out how I imagined the manicure was pretty and girly and the cupcakes were pretty delicious.
