I'll Water Your Mom's Melon

I don't have too much to say about my current manicure except it's so cute I'm obsessed with it. I got the idea off of another blog/tumblr and I would give credit if I could remember which one, but I can't so I'm sorry :) The best part of this is that it was so simple someone without any artistic skills such as myself can do it.

Its a little sloppy but I still love it.

 I started with 2 coats of O.P.I. Cajun Shrimp. For the black dots I think I would have been better off with a nail art pen or a thinner brush but for lack of anything better I used a skinny paint brushed dipped in ORLY Liquid Vinyl. Then I topped that with a coat of Seche Vite. After waiting impatiently for it to dry I taped off the tips and painted a coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lickety-Split Lime. Then used the same thin paint brush to paint stripes of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Emerald City. Finally finished I topped it all off with a coat of Seche Vite.

In my opinion this is the perfect manicure for summer. Even on an overcast day it looked super cute by the pool.

As always photo credit goes to my brother who prefers to be known as Everett Morningside, II :) And he created a new watermark for the photos which is making its premiere in this post... hopefully a new blog design will follow soon. He also gets a title credit for this post... a classic 'your mom' joke, and a weird double entendre that doesnt make any sense... my favorite.
