So I had originally attempted to post this mani on Tuesday, but Blogger freaked out or something and deleted all the content in my post.  Since that happened, I am going to show you 2 of my recent manis.  As of you have seen, I have been on a dotting tool kick lately.  And these mani are perfect examples of why I love it so much.

For the 1st one I started with 2 coats of Savvy French Cafe.  I love the look of this nude, but I always question if its the best nude for me.  Anyways, next I added two rows of dots to my ring fingers and thumbs.  I used Ultra Mint Condition and China Glaze First Mate.  I truly loved the color combination and the overall look. 

Next, I did another mani inspired by Instagram.  The original was posted by @beejustice and I believe that it was inspired by a necklace that she owns.

She used gold and a mint green, but I just recently picked up OPI Skull & Glossbones and I really wanted to test it out.  So I started with 2 coats of it, and I'm really loving the color.  Its a great neutral.  Next, I added dots on all of my fingers except for the ring fingers, on which I used my new Red Angel stamping plate.  I chose to use Ulta Chic Peek.  I also really loved the way that this turned out.  The only issue that I had was that the stamped image is significantly lighter than the dots.

Gold Sprinkled Chocolate

So has anyone noticed that fall suddenly appeared?  This past week we experienced some true Ohio weather with gray rainy skies.  To get in the mood for this new season I decided to go with a dark colored manicure.  Having purchased Savvy Chocolate a couple of months ago I figured this was the perfect time to test it out.

I started with a basecoat of Orly Ridgefiller.  I have started using this basecoat to see if it would help with the staining on my nails.  I'm hoping that the more pigmented basecoat will make it so that the nail polish won't stain my nails as much. It does seem to be helping, so fingers crossed.  Next, I did to 2 coats of Savvy Chocolate and topped it off with a layer of Diamond Dry.  This color is gorgeous, but the only complaint that I have is that the color can be very dark looking without direct light.  But I was able to capture the yummy chocolate shimmer that this polish offers.

These pictures were taken outside on a fairly dreary day, but I was able to get some of the pretty shimmer.

 

To make this mani last another day, I added a layer of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Set the Stage.  I'm actually really loving this multi-sized hexagon gold glitter polish.  The glitter comes out nice and evenly, which isn't always the case with glitters like this.  I recently picked this polish up at Target on sale and I couldn't be happier :)

So what do you think?  A great fall manicure with the cooler weather?

Deja Blue & Avengers Part 2

That rhymes! Lol.  Anyways,  on my first Avengers post I showed off my first cupcake mani, and said that I would show you the base color.  So here we go.  I did 2 coats of Savvy Deja Blue.  I picked up this polish at Sally's a couple of weeks ago (they had a buy 2 get 1 free sale) and I love blue polish.  This color is gorgeous.  Its a lovely dark blue with a shimmer to it.  It definitely has that lit from within quality.  I hope you like this color as much as I do.

Ok, so now I have a few more pictures for 'The Avengers'.  Sadly, I still haven't seen them actually filming, but we did walk around to the other side of the set, and it was pretty cool down there.  Ericka and I are planning on heading there again today to see if we can see some action.  Fingers crossed!  Also, these photos are from Thursday and Friday.  They set the vehicles up differently like 4 times a day, so that's why there may be some that look different.

I Click My Ruby Heels

On Saturday, we purchased 3 bottles of Savvy Femme Couture nail lacquer.  I have used the Touch of Glitter a couple of times, but I wanted to test out the Ruby Slippers.  Its a gorgeous bright red jelly with glitter.  It definitely looks like Dorothy's Ruby Shoes in 'The Wizard of Oz'. I don't usually wear such bright and bold colors, but I just couldn't resist .  It just looks so pretty and sparkly in the bottle.  I did just 2 coats of the polish, and topped it off with a coat of SV.  I really love the color and its absolutely beautiful in the sunlight, but I was a little sad that the glittery-ness didn't show that well inside.

Tickle Me Pink

Tickle Me Pink

Considering Wednesdays are for pink, I decided to show one of the lovely new pink polishes that we picked up on Saturday.  Ulta Professional- Tickle Me is a beauty shade of pink, with a hint of purple.  When applying the polish, it looked like it was going to be much more pink than it appeared in the bottle, but once the polished dried it became more lite purplish-pink.  I love this color!  Its such a pretty, girly color that makes me want to smile.  I added Savvy-Touch of Glitter on top just to make it sparkle more in the sun.

Here is the best picture of the glittery top coat.  I'm loving this new polish.  Its just the right amount of sparkle.

 Also here is a little sneak peak of the shelf we built!

Saturday's Haul

So this past weekend was all about nail polish.  On Friday night, Ericka and I began working on this blog, then Saturday was nail polish buying day, and Sunday was spent building a shelving unit for our growing nail polish collection (We will be posting these pictures soon!)

We went to Ulta, and Sally's Beauty Supply.  A total of 18 bottles, and 1 bottle of acetone was purchased.  Here is a picture of it all:

The haul included 6 Ulta nail polishes, 3 Savvy polishes, 3 China Glazes, 3 Finger Paints, 1 Barielle, and 2 top coats.  Here are pictures of each kind:

We are working on testing all these pretty polishes, but for now I can show you my manicure today.  I did a simple french tip with Savvy-Touch of Glitter to add a little sparkle.  I also added a flower stamp to dress it up.  This is actually my first time doing an accent nail.  I'm liking it :)
